Privacy Policy

The IFIS2024 Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) collects information on participants of IFIS2024 (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) through the Event website (https://ifis2024.jp/, hereinafter referred to as “the Website”). Personal information acquired will be handled in compliance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and all other relevant laws and ordinances, and in accordance with the following policy.

1. Purpose of Use

Email addresses and other personal and logistical information acquired through the Event registration and abstract submission process will be used for the efficient operation of the Event, including:

- Managing registration and participation for the Event;
- Managing contributions to the Event’s program;
- Managing correspondence with participants regarding the Event.

Personal information will not be used for any other purpose.

2. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties

The Committee will not disclose or provide to any third party the personal information provided by participants, except when provision or disclosure is done with participant consent, is done in accordance with relevant laws and ordinances, or is done for some other justifiable reason.

3. Safeguarding of Personal Information

To prevent personal information provided by participants from being divulged, lost, damaged, improperly accessed, etc., the Committee will implement the appropriate technical and physical measures. The operation of the Website may be outsourced to an outside organization. However, the organization responsible for handling the personal information will ensure that necessary measures are taken for the secure management of the information.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

If personal information collected through the Event registration and abstract submission process comes under the scope defined in Section 3 of Article 2 of the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Administrative Organs” (Act No. 58, May 30, 2003), users have the right to request the disclosure of their own personal information in accordance with Article 12 of Act No. 58.
Users of the Website may have their registrations cancelled or revised at any time by contacting the Organizing Secretariat by email ifis2024-reg@congre.co.jp.

5. Use of Google Analytics

The Event uses the Google Analytics service of Google LLC in order to improve the quality of the Website. Google Analytics uses “cookies” to collect, record and analyze data about web traffic to the website. 6. Retention Period

Up to December 31, 2024, for registration, abstract submission, and cookie information.
